In the year 2021, THE GRANDMASTER emerged in the melodic metal scene, marking the extraordinary collaboration between Jens Ludwig, an exceptional guitarist known for his work with Edguy in the power metal genre, and Brazilian singer Nando Fernandes. Conceived by Frontiers president and A&R director Serafino Perugino, THE GRANDMASTER offers a formidable fusion of robust and melodic metal, providing a new perspective on traditional German power metal with a strong emphasis on melody. In their efforts to further optimize the project, especially in live performances, they welcomed Danish singer Peer Johansson to their ranks. Peer, celebrated for his contributions to bands like Fate, Ureas, and Pentakill, possesses a warm and impressive vocal range that can be compared to exceptional voices such as Jorn Lande, UDO, and the high tones of Rob Halford. The Album exudes infectious grooves and showcases Ludwig's exceptional guitar skills, rhythmic riffs, captivating guitar solos, and outstanding vocal performance from one of the hidden gems of the genre. Led by the talented Alessandro Del Vecchio, who made significant contributions to the Album's production, The Grandmaster's latest release is a dynamic, guitar-driven, and thoroughly captivating metal Album.
