No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith' was originally released on June 27, 1981 and is Motörhead's most important live album. Lemmy is quoted as saying the following about the album: 'I knew it would work best live because we are truly a live band. You can't listen to a record and figure out what we're about. You just have to see us live.' After its release, the legendary album went straight to number one, making it their first and only number one in the UK, as well as their most significant live album.
