For their third studio album, the band from Iowa collaborated for the first time with producer Rick Rubin and expanded their sound. In addition to the hits 'Duality' and 'Before I Forget', the band also presented quieter tones. This mix was not only positively received by critics, but also by the fan community - the so-called 'Maggots'. 'Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)' reached number 2 on the German album charts and was awarded gold.
