"What the World needs now…" is the tenth studio album by PUBLIC IMAGE LTD. (PiL). The eleven track album is building on the massive success of "This is PiL", the band's first album after 17 years and the launch for their widespread tour around Europe. The first single (and the first track on the album), "Double Trouble", is the mission statement for "What the World needs now...", which was financed single-handedly and is released on the bands' own label "PiL Official".
