Alice Cooper's eleventh studio record was inspired by his stay in a rehab where he recovered from his alcoholism. The printed inside of the cover shows Cooper and the other residents of the sanatorium, as they happily leave the area after their release.
"From the Inside" shows an extremely vulnerable Alice Cooper - especially shown on the hit single "How You Gonna See Me Now", which presents itself as a power ballad long before the term was invented.
