El 11 de Marzo de 2011 Japón fue sacudido por un tremendo terremoto, seguido de un monstruoso tsunami y un desastre nuclear en el reactor nuclear de Fukushima. En el otoño del mismo año Aerosmith trajo su tour "Back On The Road" haciendo caso omiso del riesgo nuclear, dada la cercana relación de la banda con sus fans en Japón. Sus incondicionales acudieron en masa a estos conciertos y Aerosmith se lo agradeció con uno de sus mejores actuaciones de toda su carrera. Esta filmación acompaña a la banda durante el tour y conecta directos de "Love in an elevator", "Livin' on the edge", "Last child", "Walk this Way", "Draw the line", "Sweet emotion" y "Hangman jury" con tomas fuera de escenario donde se mezcla lo emocional, con humor y empatía. Mas que nunca "Rock for the rising sun" plasma la cercana relación entre el público japones y Aerosmith gracias a su música. Con las canciones "Lick and a promise" y"One way street" como extras.
