"State of emergency" CD de Prong

Fans had to wait six long years for a new album from American metal band Prong. The reasons for the delay were the pandemic with all its uncertainties and disruptions, but also joyful events in the personal life of singer and guitarist Tommy Victor. But now Prong is back, and they have made a true impact with 'State Of Emergency'. It is the captivating work that fans had hoped for, with the familiar untamed energy of a group that has been at the forefront since the mid-1980s. And it is filled with an ingenuity that could hardly be more typical for this band: 'It is a real Prong album. It not only ignores every genre, but also what is currently happening out there,' says band founder Victor, describing the stylistic direction of the eleven songs. He says about his artistic approach, 'I like all kinds of music. This record fits in with that, as it covers many facets. At the same time, 'State Of Emergency' is very guitar-oriented and a good example of my style, which combines punk, metal, post-punk noise, some doom, blues, and thrash, with fairly straightforward vocals. Overall, the album has an aggressive East Coast vibe.' In addition, there will be major European Tours in August and November.
