After the rock opera 'Jesus Christ the Exorcist,' Neal Morse has released his latest prog epic titled 'The Dreamer - Joseph: Part One.' The album tells the classic story of Joseph (the one with the colorful coat!) through the means of progressive rock, as only Neal can do! The story unfolds as Morse utilizes amazing singers such as Ted Leonard (Spock's Beard, Pattern Seeking Animals), Matt Smith (Theocracy), and Jake Livgren (Proto-kaw, Kansas) to sing the roles of Joseph's brothers, who are plagued by jealousy and throw him into a pit. Neal has not only cast the characters of the story but also selected the best musicians for the musical 'roles.' Thus, one can hear the captivating guitar playing of Steve Morse (Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs) and Eric Gillette (NMB), while this well-known story is brought to life through amazing music that will thrill all fans of progressive rock.
The album offers everything the heart desires: from long epics and odd time signatures to highly melodic and song-oriented pieces.
