"The time of the oath" es la séptima obra de Helloween, y tratada junto a los dos de Keppers como el mejor álbum de los 80. Con las dos canciones melódicas "We burn" y "Steel tormentor" asi como "Time of the oath" la banda ya se puede contar permanentemente entre las grandes. Este álbum doble ampliado contiene entre otros dos títulos solamente editados en Japón ("Still I don't know" y "Take it to the limit").
