Pocas bandas han dejado una marca tan profunda en el metal como Black Sabbath de Birmingham. Tras 50 años en la carretera Black Sabbath ejecuta su último tour, "The End” (conRival Sons), y el 4 de febrero cayó el último concierto en Birmingham.
Su ultimo en Alemania fue en 17 de enero en el Lanxess Arena en Colonia. Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler y Bill Ward han vendido más de 75 millones de copias. Están en el UK Music Hall of Fame desde 2005, y desde 2006 en el Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the US. "The Ultimate Collection" incluye 2 CDs en digipak con 31 pistas remasterizadas por Andy Pearce.
